2024 Minnesota Welsh Hymn Festival
On September 22, enthusiastic singers gathered at First Presbyterian Church in Mankato for the 2024 Minnesota Welsh Hymn Festival.
Under the direction of Rev. Joseph Corbin of Omro, Wisconsin, fourteen hymns were sung, accompanied by organist Karen Wojahn and pianist Ryan Jones. Rev. Eric Garner of the First Presbyterian Church offered an invocation and benediction.
Attendees were also treated to two sets of songs performed by the Mankato Riverblenders Barbershop Chorus.
Following the postlude, people gathered in the church fellowship hall for a Te Bach where they browsed the historical display and visited with friends over Welsh Tea, coffee, tea cakes, assorted bars and cookies.
